Fruit Cobbler

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Baking Time: 30-40 minutes

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cans (410g) peaches or fruit of your choice
  2. 375ml (1½ cups) flour
  3. 7ml (1½ tsp) baking powder
  4. 1ml (¼ tsp) salt
  5. 30ml (2 Tbsp) sugar
  6. 3ml (½ tsp) cinnamon
  7. 60g butter
  8. 300ml (1¼ cup) Nestlé Carnation evaporated milk
  9. Icing sugar for dusting

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
  2. Spread peaches over base of a 23cm pie plate.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Rub in the butter.
  5. Stir in the Ideal Milk.
  6. Mix until smooth.
  7. Spoon over peaches.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and topping is cooked through.
  9. Dust with icing sugar and serve with Nestlé Dessert Cream or custard.
