What is wellbeing?

Wellbeing is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Ways to well-being; be active, give and connect.


Be active

Regular physical activity is associated with lower rates of depression and anxiety across all age groups .
Exercise is essential for slowing age-related cognitive decline and for promoting well-being . Today be active, use the stairs instead of lift, go for a walk at lunch time.


Individuals who report a greater interest in helping others are more likely to rate themselves happy.
Get involved in social and community activities.


There is strong evidence that feeling close to, and valued by other people is a fundamental human need and one that contributes to functioning well in the world. Therefore speak to someone new, ask how someone’s weekend was and really listen when they tell you.

Time Out

Spend some time by yourself and reflect on different subjects, it not only refreshes your mind but gives you a chance to see things more clearly.

REMEMBER: Having sufficient sleep is good for your health. Recommended 7-8 hours of sleep.
