Nestlé Chairman visits Nestlé EAR region

Mr Peter Brabeck, Chairman of Nestlé S.A., arrived in Kenya for his two day maiden visit to the Nestlé EAR region on July 4th, 2011. He was accompanied by the Executive Vice President ZONE AOA, Mr Frits Van Djik.

Mr. Brabeck is a great champion of Nestlé’s ‘Creating Shared Value’ (CSV) philosophy. For Nestlé, CSV is based on the firm conviction that in order to create long term business success, we have to create value for our shareholders and value for the society at the same time.

Mr. Brabeck went to visit Nestlé EAR’s Dairy project in Kabiyet, Rift Valley and met the farmers whose lives this project has positively impacted. He also reiterated Nestlé’s commitment to the local communities in his meeting with key Nestlé stakeholders and partners in Kenya.

Mr. Brabeck also met with the President of Rwanda, His Excellency Paul Kagame where Nestlé announced the opening of the new representative office.
Mr Brabeck also took the opportunity to meet with other ministers in the government to discuss opportunities and also address the media.
