Celebrating World Coffee Day

Sep 29, 2014

29th September will be a day to remember, thanks to all who joined in the world coffee day celebrations across the world.

The day marked the long and rich history of coffee since its discovery in the year 850 in Ethiopia and its journeys across centuries to what it is today – the world’s second most valuable legally traded commodity after oil.

At Nestlé Mozambique, the day was marked through several internal and external activities aimed at demystifying the myths surrounding coffee as well as educating the Mozambican public on NESCAFÉ product benefits.

The day began with Country Manager, Diogo Victoria, as a guest at live radio and TV shows popularizing the day to the general public. At the same time, free cups of NESCAFÉ RICOFFY were being sampled to people in the streets, on their way to work as well as in the newsrooms.

In the afternoon, the entire Nestlé Mozambique staff congregated at the office canteen to join in a toast, sharing a NESCAFÉ moment together. The company expects to continue celebrating this day in years to come and seeks to involve even more stakeholders in the future.
