Nestlé announces a new Nestlé Kenya Country Head

Nestlé has appointed Mr. Hakan Misri as the new Managing Director for Nestlé Kenya Ltd, effective from 1 March 2011.

Mr. Hakan replaces Cihat Kurt who has been instrumental in building and developing Nestlé Kenya. Prior to his new role Hakan served as an Executive Committee Member & Business Executive Manager in Nestlé Turkey, a position he held for four years, where he has been credited with sterling business performance.

He joined Nestlé Turkey in 2001, where he co-ordinated Sales and Marketing operations until 5 years later, when he was posted to Nestlé Azerbaijan (Eurasia) as the Country Manager, a position he held until 2007.

In Kenya, Mr Hakan will continue working on Nestlé Kenya’s expansion plans, as well as pursuing Nestlé’s strategy of addressing the needs of the emerging consumer class.
