Nestlé Zimbabwe participated in the 56th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo from 28th April to 2nd May, 2015.
The theme this year was “Stimulating Trade….Seizing opportunities to accelerate growth.” ZITF attracts local, regional and international exhibitors who want to showcase their products and services. An estimated 50,000 people visited the trade fair over the 5 days.
The Trade Fair was officially opened on Thursday 30 April by the guest of honour, the President of Zambia, Mr Edgar Lungu accompanied by the President of Zimbabwe, the two Vice Presidents of Zimbabwe and several government ministers and officials. During the official opening 100 Healthy Kids primary school children from the Bulawayo province performed gymnastics and dance for the dignitaries and for a crowd of about 5,000 in the arena.
Announcement were made that the Ministry of Education and Nestlé Zimbabwe had partnered in resuscitation of physical education in primary schools.
Nestlé Zimbabwe showcased all product categories including a display stand on CSV, wet sampling of CEREVITA, MILO, NESCAFE and MAGGI Noodles. Two professional chefs prepared special dishes from recipes based on the four products.
Traders and consumers who visited the stand were quite familiar with the Nestlé products and the most popular ones were CEREVITA and CREMORA.
Nescafe Glass Lounge-many visited the glass lounge to sample coffee and there were many enquiries from traders who wanted to buy coffee machines.
